    None of the wildly polarised positions make sense.

    The reality is that nobody is going to change anyone else's opinion or conflicted opinion on the subject of abortion.

    Education from a pre-school level to post-doctoral research the only place that common ground can be secured.

    I note that it is often anti-abortion advocates who also protest against the rights of single mothers and / or the delivery of sex education in schools. Many have an insatiable habit of reading religious texts out of context.

    On the other side of the fence pro-abortionists have little to say about the crying need for people to take responsibility for their actions over the entirety of their lives. They push too hard the other way and are on par with the anti-abortionists when it comes to providing support for and encouragement for parenting. "Relativism" has a lot to answer for in this camp.

    Both camps focus on extreme cases for the purpose of pushing one or other political wheelbarrow.

    Again, the only way forward is through an intensive approach to relationship education and is from there that basic sex education and contraception education should be included.
