Going by the growing number of success stories we are hearing about battery storage in all it's different forms, the market is telling us that this technology has an exciting future.
However, having batteries that are reliable and robust enough to hold sufficient charge until when required, is only one side of the story.
The tricky bit, is integrating multiple types of generators, (some with inconsistent generation characteristics), into a system that requires stability.
If EMC is successful in Alkimos Beach (and other projects it is involved in), then the market will give them the thumbs up in the same way the have with the most promising battery tech companies.. At the moment the only way the market has access to EMC is through CWEs 35% stake.
It should follow, that the companies that generate non polluting electricity into these grids, should also share in the success as well.
