The tricky bit, is integrating multiple types of generators, (some with inconsistent generation characteristics), into a system that requires stability.

If EMC is successful in Alkimos Beach (and other projects it is involved in), then the market will give them the thumbs up in the same way the have with the most promising battery tech companies.. At the moment the only way the market has access to EMC is through CWEs 35% stake.

It should follow, that the companies that generate non polluting electricity into these grids, should also share in the success as well.

CWE has two irons in the fire.

I agree that CWE is more attractive with the stake in EMC.
WRT integrating generation into grids, I'd think that the incumbent utilities out there (the have baseload generation as well) would have a lot of experience in integrating different sources & power conditioning of their grids, so microgrids surely would be an extension of this? On the storage side, maybe more than one storage type to accommodate heavy power generation periods (where the batteries can't utilize all the excess being generated) such as pumped hydro, compressed air etc.
