I'm not quite sure either, one of the highest quality companies on the ASX fundamentally and yet they choose to short this one, and at these prices! Now that it's clear the company is using the BB to create a floor at $15, there's really no upside for the shorters.
The issue for them is that with so little selling (all investors now know the company is actively buying back at $15, creating a floor), they are pretty much stuck here. They can only hope the company runs out of ammo to buy back more shares, or they're getting margin called when this rerates on the back of a major news event (we know there are a few approaching).
I'm not quite sure either, one of the highest quality...
