Thanks for the feedback (Lemas, Dma, Barbal and Kennedynp), I’m glad you found it useful.
It occurred to me today that whilst in the process of the documenting from my notes last night, I forgot to mention the conclusion. As was appropriate, three shareholders (a couple of them 21 year+ PLT investors) took turns at congratulating the board and the staff for their amazing job in turning the company around. Of course it was a sentiment shared by all who attended, which were numerous. There were few spare seats, and the mood was very positive.
I wish I could have stayed longer, but I have a day job that I needed to get back to. I had a brief conversation with Robert Hunter (chairman), who cleared up a couple of things I was wondering about. I won't publish it, as I figure these types of one-on-one Q&A exchanges should remain just that. It occurred to me that a large amount of information is probably asked and responded to after the AGM that never makes it into the public forum ... I'll need to allocate more time for the post-AGM coffee and cakes session next year! I think it's the reason why you really have to make it to the AGM yourself, there's no substitute.
A slightly unnerving (yet inevitable) thing happened ... when introducing myself to Robert, I mentioned my name and then the name of the (family trust) company that I purchased the PLT stock under (being 'Two Tone Harmony'), and he immediately said "TTH ... you are TTH aren't you?", making it obvious that he (/they) keep track of these kind of forums / sites, and he'd obviously read at least some of my posts. Whilst I've got nothing to worry about, as I'm always very positive about PLT and pretty much stand by everything I post, it was still a little disconcerting to know that I'd been analysing, dissecting, and otherwise reviewing just about everything piece of information they've been releasing to the marketplace, and they've been checking it out! (... Hi, guys! ...). No need for paranoia or anything, it's just interesting to know that there's another component to the 'audience' out there (although I think in the back of our minds we kind of know it anyway). It was just a bit of a wakeup having the chairman convert my name (or company name) to my forum login!
Anyhow, I've got to go now, it's getting late.
Cheers, best of luck to all in the PLT world (including PLT staff who may be reading!)
