All they would do is blend it with a cutter, such as kerosene before they transport it anywhere. This enables the oil to remain fluid at room temperature and you don't need to keep it warm. When they get it to the refinery, the kerosene is stripped back out of the mix. Economical and very simple to do. It's a common method for transport of heavy products such as bitumen.
It's a non-issue at the end of the day.
