If you attack someone else's integrity, then you should be held up to scrutiny. To say they're being called liars is over the top rhetoric designed to sell papers. It's perfectly fair to question the timing of the allegations and the integrity of the accusers because of their highly partisan nature.
That being said, the US media is full of campaigners.
