It certainly wont help the SP, not a lawyer, but its difficult to see how there is any merit to such a case, how can they argue the company didnt have a basis for its original guidance, they think they just used a random number generator...
Slater and Gordon (and their like) are no better than extortionists, they making noise claiming they have some moral high ground, but all they are after is go-away money.
