My broker introduced my to this interesting story some time ago, but I decided to just keep in on a watch list until it looked like it was definitely heading North … the new highs Friday have rekindled my interest..
I’ve now spent the last 48 hours trying to work out why in the hell is this stock is so neglected in the Australian market?.
Is it because the company has been around for 20 years and never done a licensing deal?
is it because the name doesn’t seem to mean anything?
is it because PYC is profiled as a tiny speccy penny stock in the eyes of the institutions and high net worth portfolio advisors?
is it because the science is so unique in Australia, the institutions don’t believe or understand it?
Is it because only a couple of brokers (Evans & Partners and Wilson HTM) seem to understand the potential?

in my opinion, one way or the other, the Americans will inevitably be coming for this science and this company.
all the factors above are probably contributing to it looking grossly undervalued when compared to overseas peers (see Evans research comments on this)
The PYC Board must surely be giving serious consideration to a capital reconstruction, a USA listing in ~12 months and maybe a name change at the same time.
When/if that ever happens, I would have to expect a most serious re-rating to take place as many more global investors would be surely tempted to come along on that journey.
