So this is off the top of my head, but below is a list of current BNPL players. I know it’s not all of them. What’s the argument for owning Afterpay when you or I could roll out of bed tomorrow and mimick the technology cheaply and quickly?
There’s nothing valuable about the IP at all, as evidenced by the long list of new entrants.
If Afterpay settled at $40 I’d be surprised. Even that’s high. And the US listing won’t save them - look at Affirm! Disaster - people are cottoning on.
