Ever since Daniel Mamadou took the reins, the company have been hinting of diversification within their area of expertise.
e.g. from last company report:
"Strategic Update
The Company is reviewing new business opportunities in the resources sector which leverage off the Group’s skills, expertise, and existing assets; and maintain the Group’s strong balance sheet and ensure all expenditure is aligned with the creation of shareholder value."
Maybe this could be the "something worth while that comes along" that you suggest, and be an "unexpected happening" as mentioned by jefferies2.
