Worth bearing in mind that the Kalina cycle has been around for quite a while, and failed to acquire much market penetration (and not just in the geothermal market). There are quite a few technical issues which have put people off, despite perhaps being more efficient.

For high temperature geothermal resources (eg 250 deg C ) the primary power generation would utilise a steam turbine optionally following by a bottoming cycle. Conventionally the bottoming cycle has been an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), usually supplied by ORMAT. This is all off the shelf technology, no need to reinvent the wheel.

Imo the Kalina cycle is an unnecessary distraction for GDY, and PTR is better off without this distraction. The challenge for the Australian hot rock industry is to prove that they can deliver an economic source of heat to the surface. The surface recovery of power from this heat is already a well developed industry supplying GW of power globally (incl 100's of MW in NZ, and even more in Indonesia and the Philipines).

    I like PTRs focus.
