While I don't see England being out of contention to win this test just yet by any means, it is interesting what a bit of pressure does to any much hyped "new approach".
Very few cricketers can play predetermined shot making at will and have the talent to stick around consistently and eventually it plays with your head. (Of course being overly defensive can be a recipe for disaster too.)
Interesting to note Stokes try and hold the innings together scoring 17 from 58 balls and Bairstow who was picked to suit white ball type cricket at the expense of great glovework made 16 from 36 - Bazball?!
If Australia can set a decent target McCullum may need to be clear that good balls don't have to be hit over the fence to win a game.
Surely they want to win not just boast about how quick they scored a losing total............
