they have nothing dynamic about the business. they have zero online presence and rely solely on agents (retail and wholesale). the likelihood of rapid growth in agent outlets is low and they sold their corporate cash cow and the government and mining sector is where the growth is.
there has never been more pressure on the owner/agent model to achieve profitability with online agents like WEB and FLT continuing to win market share according to MIDT data. rents are higher than they've ever been, wages even higher and airline commissions are shrinking not growing (and average fair value is now decreasing). the only way to grow for HLO is now through acquisitions which means either dilution or taking from dividend cash.
QAN and WEB are also reporting slow or poor starts to FY25 compared to PY.
there's just a lot of headwinds rather than tailwinds
