The ASX is not fulfilling its obligations.

Shareholders of VRX are frustrated at the ongoing trading halt
which apparently arises due to the ASX itself being understaffed,
and their inability to review and handle not just VRX,
but a whole host of listed companies in a timely manner.

Other companies are in a similar position to VRX where they are in
trading halts for extended periods through no fault of their own.

It would seem that the ASX  in general is not able to administer the listing
requirements and any issues that arise in a timely and satisfactory manner.
This is the very role and function of the ASX.
To enable listed companies to go about their business,
and for the shareholders in those companies
to have liquidity in their shareholding
and the ability to buy and sell their shares.

Surely it is up to the directors and management of the ASX itself,
as a listed company,
to ensure it has adequate staff to fulfil its role in managing and
maintaining its overall obligations to all registered companies,
and the shareholders of those companies,under its control.

It is simply not good enough that the ASX puts companies in a trading halt for extended
periods of time due to their own shortcomings.

It effected the companies themselves,
and the individual shareholders in these companies.

This is not the scenario for a successful and vibrant Australian economy.

The directors and management of the ASX need to address this problem as a matter
or urgency.
