Awesome share, once PYC validates the safety/efficacy of backbone delivery for RNA therapeutics through the upcoming Tox data - it bridges PYC preclinical pipeline end to end, from patient derived models to large animal models.
Firstly, It opens the floodgates for future PYC ocular leads delivered through a simple injection, assigning substantially higher probabilities of success for;
1) VP-002: massive validation boost leveraging data from same backbone 2) PYC-001: POC viability much stronger if same delivery channel 3) PYC-002, 003, 004, 005, … - the common base broth layer has reached boiling point and is now ready for other ingredients to be added
Secondly, it creates a springboard for the CNS programmer, PYC can point to having established an end to end pre-clinical bridge for ocular; that covers lead conception, patient derived models all the way up to NHP animals… PYC will simply be repeating the ocular workflows to bridge efficacy and TOX data cycle
That will keep us busy for a while, or maybe we’ll extend the platform to tackle oncology…?
