I don't think the ALP Conference is going to change much. One only has to sow fear into many unsophisticated voters (Another Grenobyl of sorts) and the policy won't change.

It is clear that U mining is shifting to Africa, Australia preferring to keep their mines till something better comes along and U will be out of date. What a waste of money.

It has much to do with power, and I don't mean U power but people want to be re-elected and hence will vote against U mines although they know that it is for export only. Most have comfortable jobs and could'nt care less. Beattie's arguments were shown to be humbug. He of course wants to be re-elected.

The problem is that these socalled Patriots forget they can do a lot of damage to the country when overseas interests step in and buy the U companies up for a song. After all, these sharks can afford to wait.

But do these interested parties care? I don't think so-they simply want to be re-elected.

Do Investors care? Most just want to make a quick profit and wil go to something else.

I asked Eggars, the MD of SMM to prepare a conditional contract to supply to the Chinese or anyone else.

He then to send a copy of these documents to the Fed Govt and ask them to enforce the law which states that the Fed Govt can override any State Govt when a Contract to supply has been signed.

Howard sofar has taken a restrained attitude thinking about any backlash and let others to take up the weapons.

    See what happens.
