How true is this statement? All may not be what it seems. I was watching Lateline the other night and Barnaby Joyce was going off his head about the unregulated buying up of rural farming land in Australia by foreigners, particularly Chinese. It seems like Australia is the only country in the world that allows this to occur unregulated.

There was another program aired this week regarding the speed with which Chinese Goverment is transforming it's rural farming land into 21st century cities.

So is there something emerging here, or is it coincidence that China is quietly buying up rural Australia as it converts its own soil into mega cities?
