July 23, 2007 MALACHITE Resources (MAR) says the latest drill results from its Conrad silver project in northeastern NSW are the "best so far generated".
Several holes intersected multiple lodes with CMDD43 drilled to a depth of 225 metres and intersecting the King Conrad, Conrad and Allwells lodes. Intersections recorded for DMDD39 include 1 metre at 137g per tonne of silver when passed through King Conrad, 1.7m at 539g/t of silver for Conrad and 0.8m at 692g/t silver. Substantial copper, lead, zinc, tin and indium mineralisation was also reported. Malachite also notes the course grain of the mineralisation which gives good hope for easier separation of the metallic concentrates. The company is also on the cusp of a scoping study for Conrad which Malachite believes could be a "genuine polymetallic treasure trove". The first resource estimate is expected in the September quarter.
