I didn't say IR don't effect house prices, i said they aren't the only factor in rising house prices, you still seem to attribute them to the rise in house prices recently without taking account for other factors. By themselves IR's don't drive prices up how they have, there are other factors.

I don't care about your personal experience in the 80's, that doesn't change the facts one bit, and you are only looking at australia. Worldwide there is no direct causation between IR's and house booms, they can add to it and can reduce it, but they aren't the sole cause
