This is simple: If you pay people more they will spend more, it cant be any simpler and the current head of the RBA agrees that business has had their run of cost cutting, cutting wages, conditions, rates and the economy is none the better for it.
Australian wage growth is the lowest in history whist utilities, insurance, property taxes, health care are all rising and some of these by around 4 - 6% per year. While energy costs in some places have risen 100% and more, my energy costs in the last 3 years went up about 70%
Its time to just use common sense here, if you pay people more they will buy more, companies will sell more goods and services and make more profit. Does not matter whether the company offers a service, goods, B2B or whatever, pay people more and they will spend more.
