To a degree. However, it might not be that simple. Take internet bandwith as an example. They keep upgrading the network and to bigger and bigger plans to cope with the high-res graphics. A 'small' plan is now around 200GB. Honestly, though, I struggle to use 5GB as I mostly use text. So, they could upgrade me to 1000GB or Unlimited, but it doesn't mean that I am going to use it all up. Now, if all that excess was somehow transferable like money, then I might just throw it into 'assets' in a bid to get some extra benefits/interest.
