The boat had long gone in 2008! WA was sitting on top of so much resource whilst bluescope and the likes were shutting shops! All this could have been achieved if the unions were abolished and if the leaders of our country had ever mapped at 10 year blue print to support the country. Till date in the last 15 years since the howard government there has been no leader who came and gave something to the economy rather than having a hissy fit and bitch fighting their own people (made a mockery). Its appalling on how many industries have collapsed and never have the goverments intervened to abolish unions like UK did in the early 80'sTrade practices here are worst than a hawker on the streets in asia. The world is skimming our resources, exploiting our housing market and we are paying premium taxes to let them do this. What baffles me how an average aussie earning $100k - $120k can afford to get a $1m house! Plus on top of that have a few kids and a few more investment properties. I wonder where would that equity disappear to now
