It is certainly too early to be calling seats at the next Federal election but I can't see moderate Lib voters going back to the Party while Peter Dutton and his ilk hold the reigns. I don't see any sign of the Libs moderating their policies or corporate tactics (partly because Sky After Dark and The Australian won't allow it) so they won't be wooing Teal voters back any time soon. I also think Labor would be smart to give the Teals some (more) high profile wins as the election approaches to remind their electorates that they are visible and effective (unlike most of the moderate Libs who previously held those seats). Being a card carrying inner city, woke, tertiary-educated, latte-drinker myself, I hear people saying good things about the Teals (and David Pocock) and I don't think my demographic is all that different from those in the Teal seats.
