    We liked (and still like) the intent of BrainZ (BZI, 21c), which is marketing a real-time brain monitor for infants. We last rated BrainZ a SPECULATIVE BUY at 45c on March 14.

    As we noted yesterday, the medical profession's conservatism can be problematic for medical device pioneers and the BrainZ trust now admits cracking the US market has taken longer than expected. Our diagnosis: red ink for some time.
