Eden Energy closer to building US facility

Shares in Eden Energy have soared after the company received a $US25 million assistance package for its construction of a US concrete production facility.
The company has developed a concrete additive it calls EdenCrete that significantly improves the performance of concrete, and plans to build a production facility in Atlanta, Georgia.
It expects to spend $67 million on building the first phase of the facility over the next seven years, and two US bodies have agreed to provide assistance and incentives worth $US24.8 million.
Shares in Eden Energy were up six cents, or 35.3 per cent, at 23 cents at 1230 AEST, while its major shareholder Tasman Resources was up 2.5 cents, or 20 per cent, at 15 cents.
