Has anyone read the section on LNG that the Australian had yesterday, it pointed out the potential and political reasons why gas is becomming the alternative to coal as a energy supply source.
The obvious being the nerviousnes being created by the ever hidious ETS scheme and the likelyhood of coal being stamped a stone age pollutant form of energy.

With the world seeing the finality of the global warming situation, the moving towards a greener alternative to coal fired oil based derivatives has already become apparent in the focus on LNG and Uranium which i believe will also become a strategic resource.

Hence Australia is holding a trump card or a get out of economic recession card free with it's huge potentional for Gas exportation, and with foriegn majors like BG and CHEVRON, already holding large amnts of lng in Australia, it is apparent to me Australia must and will use it's GAS if it wants to lead a sustainable and viable economic recovery.
