‘The early explorers, Anzac Day, these commemorate comradeship, gameness, exertion of the Will, suffering in silence. To be game, not to whinge – that’s the thing’
Boomers quickly moved away from that admirable attitude. Every opportunity in the world, little hardship and a complete lack of empathy or openness to the concept that the Australia they are handing over has been pillaged. Very quick to shutdown younger generations to say they are just whinging, need to work harder and reduce retail purchases, all in which only put a small dent in the mountain of income required to live the standard Australian life.
I'm Australian born and bred, agreed that poms have a 'whining reputation', but the boomer generation and politicians have left us with a global reputation of being stupid and a cowardly pawn to the major nations.
