in seventy four they asked for more
to twenty one percent
in ninety two the mortgage due
so money came and went
liquidity perfidity
hidey hide rigidity
banks and their acidity
I gave them up for lent

and now I play with stockies
and get off all my rockies
and when the buyers won't perform
I buy until the graphs reform
what malthus said was right
no end of folks to fly the kite
and on it goes with all its might
though goldies scare and purvey fright
but banks I guess are there no less
and lend until the day is night
but night is day the other way
is there no end to bank delight!
