CMC Markets credits an amount equivalent to the dvd. to your account, not sure when ie. at ex dvd. date or at payment date
also I will have to look back on the charts to see what happens to the CMC Markets' share price for the stock over that period.
for the banks calculate 2,5% (half year dvd of 5% pa.) and then x the leverage factor of 10 = 25% of the sum put up for the CFD. have I got that right ? - 25% profit ?
it works in reverse though if your shorting a stock, so make sure if you are shorting a stock it has a low dvd payout or preferably no dvd at all. or get rid of it prior to the applicable date.
