    Yes the divs are credited to your account. I do not know what happens to the franking credits?? I have not held a share on CFD at div date. Taxation issues there. Do CMC have your TFN? Do they send the div income to the ATO??

    The sp normally goes down by an amount similar to the div. It is referred to "going ex-dividend". The value of the company goes down by the amount of div paid. Give with one hand and take with the other. It tends to be funds neutral. The day's trading up and down then continues. Check out the record date for the div.
