i think the banks have adapted to the bnpl competition relatively fast despite them being hindered by credit regulations and their own inhouse corporate practices... the introduction of bnpl has actually made them more resilient and now acceptable to younger generations (going from tradies stats he posted on CCs) ...its kind of the opposite purpose what bnpl was suppose to do and disrupt ordinary banking... just my opinion
