Lol the US is a whole different box and dice - you can see there that the US Federal Agency wants to institute a rule that was created by Congress 10 years ago, but the Texas Court has struck it down partly on the basis that the Agency is unconstitutional. They go the long haul over there and they have 52 states in the US going through that all the time lol. Their system is administered by the states individually and they don't like the Federal Government poking its nose in, so it is a dog's breakfast. The states of New York and California are super tough trying to legislate BNPL and other states such as Texas are content to let markets run without many rules. And if The Dumpster is elected as seems likely, forget about it. In short, I don't think they have a lot to worry about from the Federal authorities in the US, but they do from the state legislatures. The United States? More like 52 countries IMO. As an aside, that is what Sezzle is trying to contend with - getting a bank (of which there are 4,200 in the US with a national presence to shepherd its BNPL product into each of the 52 states - at this stage it has not been successful and there are many road blocks in the way.
