Will be hard to know AMPdMobile - in the 3rd qtr sales report they claimed 6 mil total customers - 3.8 in 'The Americas' and 2.2 in ANZ. Canada was closed only 5 days into the new qtr and there is no way of knowing how many customers they had there, but that will have put a fair size dent in the numbers and Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay have all put on a big burst to grab Canadian customers, so it must be seen as lucrative and may be painful for ZIP to have had to close there. NZ is an economic basket case, in a full blown recession and retail shoppers in Australia have slammed their wallets shut, plus there are some arrears problems showing up in housing loans and credit cards, ZIP may also put the brakes on to compensate so it is hard to imagine much ANZ growth, already acknowledged as saturated. Overall, there are several reasons for the active customer count to come back. Last qtr The Americas provided more than double the volume of ANZ ($1609 vs $794 mil), but with far less transactions (8.4 vs 9.5 mil) and the US economy is going gangbusters, so maybe that will pick up the slack. Strangely The Americas had 24.1 vs 53.6 ANZ thou merchants, so they have monster sized transactions, from less merchants, but with a lot more growth potential.
