I think hope is what keeps us going. Time is inexorably moving forward into the great unknown. History can serve as a diary of where our footsteps have trod and give some indication of what to expect, but it cannot predict the future with any great certainty.
I am "hoping" that this period is simply the bow being pulled back before the arrow is thrust forward.
There continues to be a tremendous amount of capital that is waiting to find a home. The bond yields are hopeless and so cannot provide a long term solution, specially if inflation raises its head.
