The reason RealTek bought into NUH and is continuing to invest is because they want to produce a chip to sell to the whole market. Correct the chip reduces the current design from 4 chips to 1 and incorporates NUH’s IP onto the chip. But RealTek does not appear to be interested in making NUH or HP buds, their interest is to supply the market with chips. But we don’t yet know what this arrangement is yet we can look at other similar examples where this has occurred. This is a far more lucrative model for NUH than making and selling buds. A clip per chip for IP is a very good model. RealTek has the relationships etc , this completely changes NUH model from what its been the last few years. Hopefully we get some good RealTek news soon.
