I think that you have gone astray here arsenic.
On the other matter, a company with a MC of say $100m can be any composition of share numbers v SP - 100m shares at $1 or 4b at $o.025c (2.5c) to take extreme examples. P/E ratio is obviously relevant but the company with the big share issue should be at a disadvantage because of the much lower SP and the large volume in one go that hits the sell side. Also, institutions have rules don't they re this sort of thing.
I think that MLX consolidated so as to hopefully get the MC up. It worked imo, and in the process gravitas befell to the company
, and benefits followed.
FAR and AVB may be better off with a substantial consolidation - as just 2 examples. Low SPs do not attract, as a rule.
