US Gov't Disavows E-Mails About Berg's Detention

The State Department says an e-mail from a consular officer in Iraq that said beheaded American Nicholas Berg had been in US custody was based on erroneous information.
Spokeswoman Kelly Shannon says the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq had sent the incorrect information to the diplomat. The diplomat sent Berg's family an e-mail saying he had been in US custody. But officials now insist he had been held by Iraqi police.

Berg wrote his parents after his release that federal agents had questioned him about whether he had ever built a pipe bomb or had been in Iran.
His family says being delayed by the detention prevented him from leaving the country sooner.

To back its claims that Berg was in US custody, the family on Thursday released copies of e-mails from Beth A. Payne, the US consular officer in Iraq.

"I have confirmed that your son, Nick, is being detained by the U.S. military in Mosul. He is safe. He was picked up approximately one week ago. We will try to obtain additional information regarding his detention and a contact person you can communicate with directly," Payne wrote to Berg's father, Michael, on April 1st.

Payne repeated that Berg was "being detained by the U.S. military" in an e-mail the same day to Berg's mother, Suzanne. The next day, Payne wrote that she was still trying to find a local contact for the family, but added that "given the security situation in Iraq it is not easy."

Berg is believed to have been kidnapped days after Iraqi police or coalition forces released him April 6th.

State Department spokeswoman Kelly Shannon says the Coalition Provisional Authority did not tell Payne until April 7th that Berg had been held by Iraqi police and not the US military.

Berg's brother is calling on the government to come clean about its contacts with the slain American before he died. The family has blamed the government for keeping him in custody for too long while anti-American violence escalated in Iraq.

"They're trying to deflect attention to a couple weeks down the road when no one's paying attention," David Berg said. "I think President Bush needs to be a man about this and tell the truth. I think most, if not all, Americans can figure out who's telling the truth and who's lying."

After several hours of research, JackBlood.com has
learned the webaddresses for the "Islamic
Websites"; that posted the Nick Bergdecapitation
video.

The website addresses are www.al-asnar.net
and www.al-asnar.biz . Both websites have apparently
been disabled by'authorities.' The location of the web
server is reportedly inMalaysia. However, the
addresses of the publishers for these sites arelocated
in London, England and Nurnberg, Denmark.

The addresses began to disappear from the internet
listings as wereported this development on The Power
Hour Radio Show. Apparently, "Big Brother";
had been listening to the show and didn't like
the newsat all.

The location of the publishers for al-ansar.net
appears to be at an Arab Press Building, which appears
to be shared by different Arab newspublications. The
name of the organization is the Arab Press House.
Thebuilding is apparently the headquarters for news
magazines such as, AlJamilla, Sayidaty, and Al
Majallah among others.

JackBlood.com has also learned that these same websites (www.al-asnar.net and www.al-asnar.biz) were the ones that posted the latest Bin Laden audio recording, weeks ago. Despite knowing the website addresses, and potentially the addresses of their respective publishers, the CIA, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security did not make any apparent efforts to monitor the websites for uploaded files or internet traffic. Therefore, no arrests were made.

How is it possible for the FBI to pinpoint with astonishing accuracy the location of a twelve-year-old child that downloads a music file from the internet, but hasn’t been able to catch the ‘terrorists’ that upload video files –containing criminal evidence- on the internet?

13:46:31- Head is being severely tilted back as what looks like the last cut in being made

13:47:48- ANOTHER TAPE GAP: This segment begins with #2 lifting up the head. How did it get transfered to him?

More:

-By the time any cutting started on the neck, the body was lifeless.
-Nick was not killed directly after being pushed over; that was some 11 hours earlier
-The severed head did not look tormented.
-Between 13:26:24 (when Nick is last seen sitting in the chair in the very first clip) and 13:45:49 or so (when the cutting started in earnest, the body has become lifeless. How is unclear.
-Citing an 11-hour gap in the sequence is probably nonsense.
The video is shot with 2 video cameras with their internal timestamps set differently.

One of the men has a large silver watch with a large bulbous crystal on his left hand.
If you find that watch in any of the Abu Ghraib abuse pictures, you'll know who one of the murderers are.

anyone from it, including the victim. Second, according to an US military
report in April -03, Zaqrawi was killed in the bombing of Falluja. CIA does
not elaborate whether Zaqrawi has magically sprung back to life or whether
the April report was wrong.

The US media claimed that Zaqrawi lost a leg in 2001. Now, it says
that he did not lose his leg after all. This flip flop seems too
coincidental as the purported figure in the video doesn-t appear
handicapped. The US does not elaborate on which intelligence is wrong.

Even Colin Powell claimed that Zarqawi was fitted with a prosthetic leg in a Baghdad hospital
