Geez Louise , this thread has gone sideways fast .
Anyway , I'll give it a shot .
I see BS as a simply negative leader . His deputy is no better . While it is hard in opposition because you don't want to show your hand , just being negative and arguing that black is white is not very inspiring .
As an example with this new budget , he doesn't have an NDIS solution . On one hand he claims to have it funded but then wants to keep a tax on higher income earners to pay for it ? Can't have it both ways Bill . The numbers simply don't add up .
I thought this in one issue that should have achieved bipartisan support . A clever .5% for everyone would have seen the NDIS funding sorted for good . Everyone funds it because it affects everyone . Higher income earners still pay more on a dollar value than lower income earners .
That would have locked it away so that we could move on to other important social issues . His response just seems spiteful at the expense of all of us .
I don't vote for party leaders , I vote for policy . Unfortunately sometimes the ' personality ' overwhelms the party policy . At the moment Labor just seems to be negative rather than have any policies . Their policy seems to be opposite rather than coming up with their own .
Labor is hardly progressive and that is the message I get from BS .
