I would most definitely be labeled 'left'. I've never voted conservative. Ever. At my core, I'm a pragmatic, not ideological, tribal, national minded but not nationalist. We quibble about what works the best, what will create the most national wealth and shared income. What builds the best life for all of us in this 25 million person village.
I like a good plan, dislike a dud. Australia is far less than its promise. Evidence shows beyond doubt that inclusiveness builds more wealth. A secure population builds more wealth. The unions and the ALP are a part of that. We don't gain by disenfranchisement and disempowerment of the worker or the less well off.
Never worked for a union or their funds. lol
