    Casualization is moving in everywhere.

    Not sure which tradies you are referring to ? The ones in the building industry are largely self employed. Casualization in another form.

    As for tradies in heavy industry etc, casualisation is becoming the norm. Working for labor hire companies is now very common. It's only the core group that has the permanent jobs and that is reducing all the time.

    You have no pity for people in dead end jobs ?

    And what, by your definition is a " dead end job " ?

    You seem to be critical of people on check outs. Even though many of them are working mothers who took a career opportunity hit because they've had a family.

    Then there's the big ' motivational ' claim. Not everyone has the opportunity that you might have had. And, I repeat, there are many unpleasant jobs that still have to be done.

    Would you call being a policeman, an ambo or a fire fighter a dead end job ?
