Self employment is not casualation, it's free enterprise. Or is everyone who runs a small business casualised when it's their choice?
You make jt sound like casualisation is a bad thing & there's nothing good about it? Tell that to the Uber drivers who could never afford the ridiculously price taxi licences or the property owners who run Airbnbs without paying the rip off prices of real estate agents.
There are many, many people who are very happy working in the 'gig economy'. Do you boycott Uber, Airbnb etc in protest?
Police, ambulance & firefighters are public sector workers, no casualisation there.
It's not surprising that casualation is moving into the Australian economy when it has such an unproductive, backward, archaic labour laws.
