I moved to Australia 18 years ago, I agree that Australia is one of the best countries in the world.

However, I have to say, the good time may come to an end soon.

    1. the ridiculous minimum wages - less competitive products, many small companies has their 70% or more expenses as salaries
    2. Australia's geographic location - higher logistics cost
    3. very low population - have to import products because you can not produce everything needed with 24 million people, and because of #2 above, everything you buy is more expensive.

Overall it is just too difficult if you want to set up a company and produce anything, the result is we can only export agriculture products and raw materials, and unfortunately to many HC members, China is the only big buyer, which is net 100B per year. U.S. has plenty of resources, E.U are mostly developed countries and don't need that much.

It's human's nature always miss the "good old days", but it's every Australian's responsibility to consider, where is the country's real position in the world.
