A diet close to the natural one is best.
Dogs did not evolve eating grains.
Perhaps another fallacy is that dogs need to be fed every day and often twice a day.
They are quite used to having a large feed after a "kill" and going without for several days. A bit like the 5:2 fasting diet being promoted to us.
