Well it’s been a while. My handle might have changed since adventure in HK (u detectives out there might tumble) and have not posted on comsec for some time either. Re GBG. Like some of you I too have been with this company for many years. Even had a beer or two with David McSweeny at the Queen of the Murchison when it was open for that sort of thing all these years ago. Golden Crown was great (and could be again, watch that space folks) and smokes cost less. When GBG was in gold (and Mr McS was in charge) I paid for for all drinks and other such items riding the seesaw up and down but today with all the bull**** coming from the boardroom and lack of competent leadership I just may come unstuck. Yes, I am margined (eggs, basket). Been called once and managed, call twice and might just tumble. What I have to say is this…… thank you to all the posters. Doesn’t really matter what has been said it is all good to read. Remember this, without the witless where would the witty be? So, as said it’s all good reading. I remember ramping GBG in a big way (comsec) on its way up (about .80 then) and luckily for me I pulled out at about that price on the way down for purely financial reasons. Like some of you I figured that .20 was about as low as it could go and slipped back in there. Not so of course but have hung on. To be quite honest I can’t read a spread sheet very well but always kept the faith so to speak. What I do do (if you’ll pardon the phraseology), well, is mining and spotting the useless ****’S. How can this company be doing so badly due to infrastructure et al? I’ll tell ya. It’s because those in charge of mills / circuit etc are useless and those watching the useless are also useless. Bearing in mind I come from an underground environment I tend to call it as I see it, be it informed or not. I could continue with various idioms such as “to catch a thief” or “better the devil” etc but the reality of running a decent business is having talent. Nepotism or mates doesn’t cut it if that is an issue. If the GBG board is reading this (which I suspect they are), then here is some sage advice…
    1. If your plant manager is letting you down then let him, or her, down as well. With a giant thud.
    2. There are some amazing people out there that can help you, learn how to find them.
    3. Give weekly announcements, even if they are not so good / and or take this forum (HC) seriously
    4. And just to be fair, if that kiwi built docking thing is misbehaving, give those buggers a kick in the arse as well (please check my username to realise I’m kicking myself)
Well that’s about all of my rant. Some of you brighter sparks out there might just remember me (no, not a newbie). For HC, I have been o/s for such a long time and hadn’t logged on I needed to reregister so please don’t think I’m doing the handle shuffle thing.
Yes, I have had a scotch or two (Glenmorangie, very nice), so please excuse any poetical waxing. The sun is well over the yard arm from whence I am writing ?
Finally and once again, thank you to all the posters. It really is important to say what you know or feel on HC re this company (and whatever else for that matter).
Ps. If you good folk would dig into your pockets for a few hundred a week I can quite easily, and happily, sit in my mates spa pool which looks DIRECTLY over Gero harbour entrance and give hourly updates on shipping. I will be naked and drinking and smoking! God I miss WA

As Warwick used to say “I luvs u’s all”
