To your point on Cryptos I definitely agree there is more short term potential in that market just now. I have actually exited approx half my ASX positions and switched to Crypto and have been focussing on that for now. If you did want to track the top cryptos by market cap then there are actually a few indexes that can be tracked on Tradingview against USD for either the top 10 (CRYPTO10) or top 25 (CRYPTO25).
It's been a winning strategy for me, so far since making the change in mid July I've seen my share portfolio value get crunched by approx 30% and in turn my Crypto portfolio value more than double. However I'm under no illusion that there is far more risk in Cryptos and it will be disastrous once the Crypto market tanks again. I don't plan on holding Cryptos long term, I've already switched some profit to other assets and will likely be increasing ASX positions again in a few months as I continue to wind up Crypto positions.
