Jesus followers too were anointed with holy spirit by Jesus at Pentecost 33 CE. From that time onward they became Christians, meaning ''anointed ones''. 3 1/2 years later still gentiles believers were also anointed by holy spirit.
The visible and audible manifestations of holy spirit provided irrefutable evidence that God's special people were no longer fleshly Israel but were instead footstep followers of the ''Anointed One''.
MrG, what you don’t understand is that all this has nothing to do with JW’s as it hasn’t been invented yet.
But has a lot to do with the infant catholic church which still exist today.
No matter what you or the watchtower say, or verse that you throw in it won’t change this fact.
Again, I say to you, that the bible was written for and by that infant church nothing to do with future events in the formation of the watchtower.
When any company writes documents it’s for its own use, not for any future companies that might eventuate 2000 years in the future.
