I agree with the other posters that the bid would need to be $4 min, perhaps $4.50 to gain any immediate traction. The M&A blokes around town would match up another Pilbara junior with some private equity money to trump $3.50..
Consolidated and FMG would need a good price to come to the table and FMG could make thin gs very difficult for the acquirer should it become anything less than a win / win.
The TA request notice indicated that BCI would be trading at the earlier of either the release or market open on 21/1/2011 so we should see something today.
My bet is after market closes and at $4.20 to get the ball rolling...
