All we can say is thanks to Bessent being treasurer and not Lutnick (another MAGA bigmouth), we were all saved from financial Armageddon last week when the Bond market started to puke. Had a laugh at the usual 'UFC' "I won't back down" thematic 24 hours before only to find out who the real boss is.
So, there's at least one adult in the room moderating Trump propensity for self and everyone else harm. Otherwise it would have been another Truss moment. But its far from over and if Bessent departs, then its a sh!t storm extravaganza.
Btw, is it insider trading to suggest people buy your DJT shares at the same time you make a decision to reverse course on the thing that slammed the market?
