Not in my book, u don't make money by trending with those in market whose positions u r "befriending". "Trend is ur friend" is nonsense in my book, no fundie ever kept their job by doing that IMHE & IMHO. Fundies who "followed" were the first to leave when tide turned.
U make money by seeing value, others do not, somehow going slightly against it or getting in early, i.e. contrarian, and sticking with it until ur FV mark is reached and then deciding on "carry" of good stocks u don't want to loose.
